Waterproof and water-repellent are different

12Shoes does not treat every hiking shoe as waterproof. A product described as water-repellent or suitable for everyday outdoor use and light rain keeps that narrower claim. Waterproof performance, membrane brands, laboratory results or market-specific ratings are not added unless they are documented for the individual product or project.

What buyers should confirm

A useful sourcing brief states the destination market, climate, intended use, required construction or test standard, colours, size range, carton quantity and expected order timing. For an OEM/ODM project, these requirements should be agreed before sampling.

Ready-stock wholesale

Current products are ordered by full carton after availability is confirmed. The minimum is one carton per SKU, using the SKU's fixed size ratio and its recorded pack of 12 or 15 pairs.

OEM/ODM sample development

Custom OEM/ODM sample development normally costs USD 1,000 and takes approximately 30 days. A private-label sample based on an existing product direction normally costs USD 700 and takes approximately 25 days. The corresponding sample fee can be credited against settlement of the confirmed bulk order for that project.
